For families abroad
Arranging an artificial limb in Karachi from abroad
Many of the families we help are led by a son or daughter in Dubai, Riyadh, London or Toronto. Whether the limb is for a parent back home or for you on a trip to Karachi, most of the planning can happen on WhatsApp before anyone travels.
- WhatsApp any hour

In short
How families abroad usually do it
Send photos of the stump and the surgery papers on WhatsApp. We reply with the options and an estimate in writing, so the whole family can see it before anything is made.
The patient then comes to the clinic in DHA Phase 2 Extension for the assessment, casting, test socket and fitting, usually over two to four weeks. You can join the important visits by video call.

Summer is hot and humid; bring spare socks and expect to rest between sessions.

Questions
Questions from families abroad
Message us on WhatsApp at any hour.
Can I arrange an artificial leg for my father from abroad?
Yes. Send photos and papers on WhatsApp, agree the options and estimate in writing, and a relative in Pakistan brings your father to the visits. You can join by video call.
How long should I plan to stay in Karachi?
About two to four weeks for most legs and arms, if the stump is ready. Silicone hands and fingers can be quicker.
Can follow-ups be done after I leave?
Some checks can be done by photo or video. Socket changes need a visit, so we plan the next one with you.
Why have a limb made in Pakistan?
Many families find the cost far lower than abroad, and the patient can be fitted near family. Quality depends on the socket and the follow-up, which is why we plan both carefully.
Do you show prices in other currencies?
Our price guide shows rough conversions in dollars, dirhams and riyals. We charge in rupees.
Can you speak with the patient's doctor?
Yes, with the patient's permission. It helps when there is diabetes, heart disease or a slow-healing wound.
